Dr. Fady Elassaad

Vice President Business Development and Technical Services, MEFSCO

Fady Elassaad, Ph.D. is the Vice President of Business Development and Technical Services at Middle East Food Solutions (MEFSCO), a JV company between ARASCO & Cargill in Riyadh, KSA. He joined the MEFSCO on July 2017.  Previously, Dr Elassaad was at NADEC Foods for 5 years as the General Manager for Business Development, Quality, R&D Innovation and Regulatory Affairs. Before NADEC, he worked at Agthia Foods Group (Abu Dhabi, UAE) where he was the Group GM – Manufacturing, Quality and R&D Innovation for three years. Prior to Agthia, he worked for six years at Mars (Dubai) where he was responsible for Manufacturing, Innovation R&D, Quality, and Food Safety for the MENA region. Previously, he worked in the USA with several well-known companies and institutions in leading positions (i.e. PepsiCo, Borden Foods-Heinz, Abbott-Ross Laboratories, and US FDA/USDA). Fady earned his BS and MS degrees in Biological and Food Engineering from Mississippi State University, his Ph.D. in Food Engineering from the University of Maryland, and an MBA in General Management from Florida M. University.
